The Lightskye Process
From consultation to clean energy – we’ve got you covered.

Step 1
Consultation
We begin by understanding your energy needs, goals, and budget.
A solar expert will work with you to create a personalized plan – including the right system size, quality equipment options, pricing, and available incentives.
No pressure, just clear, honest guidance to help you decide if solar is the right fit for you.

Step 2
Financing
Once you sign an agreement, we’ll guide you through your solar financing options – from loans to ownership to leasing. We’ll help you choose what works best for your needs and budget.
Our team also assists with paperwork and ensures you’re informed about available incentives, rebates, and tax credits to help reduce your overall costs – making solar affordable for everyone.

Step 3
Site Visit
Before we finalize your solar plan, we’ll visit your property to make sure everything fits just right.
We’ll check your roof layout, shading, and electrical setup, and discuss your goals to ensure your system is optimized for maximum performance. This step helps us tailor the installation to your home before moving forward with final engineering.

Step 4
Interconnection
We handle the process of getting your solar system connected to the grid by submitting a formal application to your utility provider.
This step – called interconnection – is essential for system approval which typically takes around 30 days. Once approved, we move forward with the next phase of your project.

Step 5
Planning & Permitting
We take care of all the permits needed for your solar project. This ensures everything meets local building, electrical, and safety codes.
Our team manages the planning, submits applications, and works with local authorities – so your installation is fully approved and ready to go.

Step 6
Construction
Once everything’s approved, we install your solar system – usually in just a few days.
Our team mounts the panels, completes the wiring, and connects your system to the grid. A brief power outage may happen during the connection. All equipment is installed securely and built to last. We can get working pretty fast.

Step 7
Inspections
Once your system is installed, local inspectors will make sure everything meets safety and code requirements.
We coordinate the process and stay in touch so you know what to expect. These quick inspections ensure your solar system is safe, compliant, and ready to go.

Step 8
Permission to Operate
Once everything’s approved, you’ll receive Permission to Operate (PTO) – your final green light to start producing clean energy.
This means your utility has reviewed the system, and you’re officially cleared to connect to the grid and start generating clean energy. The last payment is due after your system passes the final test.
