Who Benefits from Going Solar?
Solar energy can bring savings, energy independence, and sustainability to a wide range of sectors.
There’s Never Been a Better Time to Go Solar
Gain control over high energy costs while making a smart investment in your property. With year-to-year savings, a strong return on investment, and the ability to turn unused roof space into an energy asset, going solar has never been more rewarding.
Grants & Incentive Programs
Businesses have access to a wide range of solar rebates, grants, and incentive programs designed to lower installation costs, accelerate payback, and maximize long-term savings.

Clean Energy Tax Credit
0% Tax Credit on System Cost
The Investment Tax Credit (ITC) allows homeowners to deduct 30% of their solar installation costs from their federal taxes, reducing the overall expense of going solar.
No State Sales Tax (Available in Select States)
In certain states, solar energy system purchases are exempt from state sales tax, helping reduce the upfront cost of installation.
Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs)
Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) are a type of credit you earn for the "green" value of the electricity your solar panels produce. For every megawatt-hour (1,000 kilowatt-hours) of clean energy your system generates, you are issued one SREC. In states with SREC markets (like New Jersey), utility companies are required to source a portion of their electricity from renewable sources. If they don't produce enough themselves, they must purchase SRECs to meet their legal obligations, which they do to avoid paying a fine. Solar customers can take advantage of this by selling the SRECs they earn on a market, providing them with a separate income stream in addition to their savings on electricity bills.

Energy Community Bonus Credit
Commercial customers can take advantage of a valuable 10% bonus energy tax credit by strategically locating their clean energy projects. Officially known as the Energy Community Bonus Credit under the Inflation Reduction Act, this incentive increases the value of the base Investment Tax Credit (ITC) or Production Tax Credit (PTC) by an additional 10 percentage points. To leverage this credit, a business must install its qualifying clean energy project – such as a solar array, wind turbine, or battery storage system – within a federally designated "energy community." These areas are generally defined as brownfield sites, locations with a history of significant employment in fossil fuels (coal, oil, or gas), or census tracts where a coal mine or coal-fired power plant has recently been retired. Businesses interested in this adder credit should consult official government mapping tools to verify if their property or a potential project site qualifies, potentially increasing their total tax credit from 30% to 40% or more.
